Jackery vs EcoFlow vs Bluetti vs Anker: All Four Brands, One 1 kWh Table

The four brands most American buyers shortlist, compared at identical capacity on the seven specs that actually differ. Each one wins something, and the thing it wins tells you who it's for.

Most brand comparisons pick two names and stop. If you’re actually shopping, your shortlist is usually four: Jackery, EcoFlow, BLUETTI and Anker. They all sell a roughly 1 kWh portable power station, they all sell it bundled with panels as a solar generator, and at list price they sit within $300 of each other.

So the budget doesn’t decide it. The specs do, and they differ more than the marketing suggests.

The short answer#

EcoFlow DELTA 3 is the default. It’s $300 cheaper than the other three at the same capacity, recharges in 56 minutes, and is the only one that expands. Most people should buy this and stop reading.

Buy Jackery if you carry it. 45 watt-hours per pound against 33–37 for the rest. On a walk from the car to a tent pitch, that is the spec you’ll notice.

Buy Anker if you’re pairing it with panels. 600 W of solar input, the most here, and a 58-minute wall recharge that matches EcoFlow.

Buy BLUETTI if you want the most watt-hours in one box and it isn’t going to move much. 1,152 Wh is the largest of the four.

The four at 1 kWh#

Like-for-like capacity is the only fair way to do this. Every figure below comes from our spec database and is manufacturer-published.

Read down the bolded figures and the shape of the decision appears: EcoFlow holds or ties the best number in seven of these twelve rows, including price and expandability, the two that usually decide a purchase. That is not a close contest on paper.

The reason to buy one of the other three is that you care about a specific row more than you care about price.

What each brand actually wins#

EcoFlow — price, speed, and the only expansion path#

$0.68 per watt-hour against $0.87–$0.95 is a $300 gap at the same capacity class. Nothing else in this comparison is worth $300.

Then there’s expandability. The DELTA 3 goes from 1,024 Wh to 5,000 Wh with add-on batteries. None of the other three expand at all. If there’s any chance your needs grow — a bigger fridge, a longer outage, a second season of van life — that single row eliminates Jackery, BLUETTI and Anker from consideration, because growing means buying a whole second unit.

The 56-minute wall recharge is the fastest here, though Anker is two minutes behind and you will never notice the difference.

The compromise: it’s 4 lbs heavier than the Jackery, and EcoFlow’s units lean harder on the app than some people want.

Jackery — weight, and it isn’t close#

The Jackery is 11.5 lbs lighter than the BLUETTI for 82 Wh less capacity. For tent camping, a walk-in site, or carrying it upstairs during an outage, that is the whole decision. It’s why the Explorer 1000 v2 remains our camping pick despite losing on price per watt-hour.

The compromise: the slowest recharge here at 100 minutes, the weakest inverter at 1,500 W continuous, the least solar input at 400 W, and no expansion.

Anker — solar input and a genuinely fast charger#

600 W of maximum solar input is 20% more than EcoFlow and BLUETTI and 50% more than Jackery. If you’re buying this as a solar generator — battery plus panels, used off-grid for days at a time — that ceiling is what determines how much you can bring back in a day.

At roughly 60–70% of rated panel wattage across a good day, 600 W of panels returns about 360–420 W of real charging, which refills the 1,056 Wh pack in around three hours of usable sun. On the Jackery’s 400 W ceiling the same day gives you 240–280 W and takes closer to four.

The compromise: 3,000 cycles is the lowest rating of the four, the 2,400 W surge is the weakest, and at $0.95/Wh it’s the most expensive per watt-hour here. You’re paying Jackery money for Anker’s solar ceiling.

BLUETTI — the most capacity per dollar, if it stays put#

1,152 Wh is 82–128 Wh more than the other three, and at $0.87/Wh it’s the second-cheapest. For a unit that lives in a garage or a closet and comes out during outages, that combination is genuinely the best value after EcoFlow.

The compromise: 35.3 lbs. It is the heaviest of the four by 7 lbs and the worst watt-hours-per-pound by a clear margin. Buy it for a fixed location, not for a trip.

What none of them differentiate on any more#

Chemistry. All four ship LiFePO4 across their current 1 kWh lines. This used to be the headline difference between brands and simply isn’t now — if a review tells you one brand uses safer cells than another at this capacity, it’s out of date.

Warranty. Five years from all four on these models.

Safety and build. All four are established brands with real US operations, proper certification, and pure sine wave inverters — which matters if you’re running a CPAP or medical equipment. None of them is a risk in the way the long tail of Amazon-only brands can be.

Support quality. We won’t rank it. We haven’t filed warranty claims with any of these companies, and repeating aggregated review-site sentiment as if it were our own finding would be dishonest. Check recent owner reports for your specific model before buying.

What about the solar generator bundles?#

All four sell their power stations bundled with panels and market the result as a solar generator. It’s the same battery with panels in the box — no different hardware — and whether the bundle saves money depends entirely on the per-watt price of the panels inside it.

Two things to check before assuming it does:

Does the bundle’s panel wattage match the unit’s input ceiling? A 400 W bundle on the Anker leaves 200 W of its 600 W capability unused. A 600 W bundle on the Jackery wastes 200 W, because the charge controller simply caps at 400 W.

Are the bundle panels the current generation? Brands sometimes clear older panel stock through bundles. Price the panels standalone and compare.

Decision rules#

Choose EcoFlow when:

  • Price per watt-hour matters, which for most people it should
  • You might need more capacity later
  • The unit lives in a vehicle, garage or RV bay where 4 lbs is irrelevant

Choose Jackery when:

  • You carry it more than a few yards
  • Tent camping or a walk-in site is the main use
  • You’d rather have fewer features and less app

Choose Anker when:

  • Panels are part of the purchase and you want the highest solar ceiling
  • Fast wall charging matters and EcoFlow is unavailable

Choose BLUETTI when:

  • The unit stays in one place
  • You want maximum watt-hours in a single box and won’t expand

None of them, if your daily load is under 200 Wh and you only charge devices. Buy something from the small power station class and spend the difference elsewhere.

Work out the size before the brand#

Every rule above assumes you already know you’re shopping at 1 kWh. If you don’t, brand is the wrong question to be asking first — a brand argument can’t rescue a unit that’s half the size you needed.

Run your actual loads through the sizing calculator, then come back and use the table. The capacity class decides far more about whether you’re happy with the purchase than the name on the case does.

A note on price#

Everything above is MSRP, and this category discounts 30–40% on every major sale event. The four brands don’t run promotions in step, so a Jackery on sale can undercut an EcoFlow at list and reverse the value verdict for that week.
