Value

At $999 MSRP for 1,152 Wh the AC180 lists at about $0.87 per Wh, beating the DELTA 2 ($0.98) and Explorer 1000 v2 ($0.93) — though the $699 DELTA 3 undercuts the whole trio at $0.68 if list prices hold.

Output

1,800 W continuous with 2,700 W of surge is real compressor-starting headroom — the same surge figure as the DELTA 2, comfortably above the C1000's 2,400 W. For fridge-plus-microwave backup duty this is the spec doing the work.

Portability, honestly

35.3 lbs is stationary-equipment weight in a class where rivals run 23.8–28.4. It has handles and it moves when it must; it just isn't the unit you carry to a tent pad every weekend.

Charging

About 80 minutes from the wall — an over-lunch top-up, level with the DELTA 2 — and a 500 W solar ceiling that refills the pack in roughly 2.3 ideal hours (1,152 ÷ 500), stretching to an afternoon at real-world yields.

The Verdict

The AC180 is what the 1 kWh class looks like when weight isn't a constraint: more capacity (1,152 Wh, about 979 usable at 85% efficiency — 20 hours of household fridge duty at 48 W), full 2,700 W surge headroom, and the best $/Wh of the $999 units. The cost is literal mass — 35.3 lbs is 11.5 more than the Explorer 1000 v2 — plus a single USB-C and no growth path. Stationed under a desk or on a garage shelf, none of those cons bite.

Bottom line

The best-value stay-put unit in the 1 kWh class. Carry it to a campsite twice and you'll wish you'd bought lighter.
