Charging

About 58 minutes from empty on wall power — second in our database only to the DELTA 3's 56 — and a 600 W solar ceiling that turns a decent array into a ~2-hour refill (1,056 ÷ 600 ≈ 1.8 ideal hours). No 1 kWh unit refills from the sun faster.

Output and ports

1,800 W continuous covers the same loads as the DELTA 2 and AC180; the 2,400 W surge is the one soft spot, worth checking against a fridge or pump's start-up spike. Six AC outlets plus two USB-C mean the whole campsite plugs in directly.

Portability

28.4 lbs with a flat top that stacks and packs — mid-field for the class. The Explorer 1000 v2 carries almost 5 lbs lighter if weight decides; the C1000 answers with faster charging and three more AC outlets.

Longevity

3,000+ rated cycles of LiFePO4 and a 5-year warranty match the class standard. The fixed capacity is the real longevity question: what you buy on day one is what you own in year five, so size honestly before choosing it over an expandable rival.

The Verdict

The C1000 competes on the spec that changes daily use most — recharge speed — and holds its own everywhere else. Its 1,056 Wh (about 898 usable at 85% efficiency) runs a 48 W household fridge for roughly 18.7 hours, its 600 W solar ceiling refills it faster than any 1 kWh rival can manage, and six AC outlets spare you the power strip. What it lacks is a growth path: at $999 MSRP it prices level with the expandable DELTA 2 and undercuts nothing, so choose it for the ports and charging, not the price.

Bottom line

A fast, well-equipped 1 kWh unit for buyers who know their capacity need won't grow. If expansion might ever matter, the DELTA 3 costs less and grows to 5 kWh.
