If you’ve settled on Jackery, the CPAP question comes down to one spec and one decision: how many watt-hours the unit holds, and whether your humidifier is running.
That second one changes the answer by a factor of six, which is why a Jackery that’s perfect for a camping trip is the wrong purchase for an outage.
The short answer
Explorer 1000 v2 for most people. It’s the smallest Jackery that clears a full humidified night, and it’s the lightest 1 kWh portable power station in our database at 45 watt-hours per pound.
Explorer 300 Plus only for travel, and only without the humidifier. It covers 2.4 unhumidified nights and 0.4 humidified ones.
Explorer 2000 Plus if the reason is a multi-day outage. 2.5–3.5 humidified nights, and enough inverter left over to run the rest of the house.

The row that decides it is “nights, humidifier on”. If your therapy includes humidification — and most prescribed therapy does — the Explorer 300 Plus is not a candidate, however appealing its price and weight are.
Explorer 1000 v2 — best overall for CPAP
1,070 Wh, delivering about 910 Wh through the inverter.
That covers a humidified night with room to spare and gets you into a second one, or 9.1 nights with the humidifier off. For the common case — one person, one machine, an outage lasting a night or a weekend camping trip — this is the right size, and buying larger is buying capacity you’ll carry and never use.
Jackery’s real argument at this capacity is weight. 45 watt-hours per pound is the best ratio in the 1 kWh class:

If the unit travels with you — a trip, a hotel, a relative’s house — that’s a genuine advantage over every rival.
The compromise: 100 minutes to recharge, the slowest in its class, and 400 W of solar input against 500–600 W from EcoFlow and Anker. Neither matters overnight; both matter across a multi-day outage.
Explorer 300 Plus — travel only
288 Wh, delivering about 245 Wh.
2.4 nights with the humidifier off, and 2.9 if you run the machine from a DC cable and skip the inverter’s losses entirely. At 8.3 lbs and 35 watt-hours per pound it’s the best carry ratio in the small class, which makes it a good travel companion for unhumidified therapy.
With the humidifier on it manages 0.4 of a night. It does not finish. There is no configuration, no settings change and no panel that turns this into an outage backup unit, and we’d rather say so plainly than let the price tempt you.
The compromise, beyond capacity: 120 minutes to recharge — double the EcoFlow RIVER 2 — and a single AC outlet, so the CPAP occupies the only socket.
Explorer 2000 Plus — for multi-night outages
2,042 Wh, delivering about 1,736 Wh.
2.5–3.5 humidified nights, which is the range that covers most residential outages. It also carries a 3,000 W continuous / 6,000 W surge inverter, the strongest in our database, so the same battery runs a fridge and a few outlets alongside the machine rather than the machine alone.
Its other CPAP-relevant spec is 1,400 W of solar input, the highest here by a wide margin. In a multi-day outage that’s the difference between a battery that empties and one that refills each day — roughly 840–980 W of real charging from a full array, at the realistic 60–70% of panel rating.
The compromise: 61.5 lbs, and $2,199. This is a house appliance, not something you move. If your reason is purely CPAP and outages in your area last one night, you’re paying $1,200 for nights you won’t need.
What does each Jackery cost per night of backup?
Between $666 and $758 per humidified night of coverage — a much narrower spread than the $299-to-$2,199 price range suggests, and it reframes the choice usefully.

The striking thing is how flat that column is. You are paying roughly the same per night of coverage across the whole range, which means the decision isn’t about value — it’s about how many nights you actually need.
That’s a useful way to cut through the temptation to buy up. If your outages last one night, the Explorer 1000 v2 covers it and the extra $1,200 for the 2000 Plus buys nights you’ll never use. If they run three nights, no amount of saving makes the 1000 v2 sufficient.
The Explorer 300 Plus looks terrible in this table because it is being measured against a job it can’t do. On unhumidified nights it costs $125 per night covered — the best figure of the three by a wide margin, and the honest measure of what it’s for.
What Jackery doesn’t give you
UPS pass-through. For home outage backup this is the feature that matters more than watt-hours: the unit sits permanently plugged into the wall with the machine plugged into it, and switches to battery fast enough that the CPAP never reboots and you never wake up.
Our database lists this for the EcoFlow DELTA series and the BLUETTI AC series, and does not list it for the Explorers above. It isn’t universal across brands and switchover behaviour varies, so verify the current specification for the exact model you’re considering.

Match the panels to the input ceiling. 400 W on the Explorer 1000 v2, 1,400 W on the Explorer 2000 Plus, 100 W on the Explorer 300 Plus. Anything above the ceiling is wasted; the charge controller simply caps.
Expect 60–70% of rated wattage across a good day. On the Explorer 1000 v2’s 400 W ceiling that’s 240–280 W of real charging — enough to bring back about two humidified nights’ worth over a day of decent sun.
