At $699 MSRP for 1,024 Wh, the DELTA 3 lists at about $0.68 per Wh — versus $0.87–0.98 for the $999 trio of DELTA 2, Explorer 1000 v2, and AC180. Street prices move, but the list-price gap is the largest in this class.
Charging
About 56 minutes from empty to full on wall power is the fastest in our 1 kWh set, a hair ahead of the Anker SOLIX C1000's 58. Solar is the ceiling: 500 W maximum input, so a panel refill is a multi-hour affair.
Longevity
The pack is rated at 4,000 cycles to 80% capacity — on a daily-cycle solar loop that is over a decade of use before the battery fades to four-fifths of its original size, backed by a 5-year warranty.
Expandability
Expansion batteries take the system to 5,000 Wh, up from the DELTA 2's 3 kWh ceiling. That turns a camping unit into a small home-backup bank without replacing the core station.
The Verdict
The DELTA 3 makes the DELTA 2 hard to recommend at list price: same 1,024 Wh capacity and 1,800 W inverter, $300 lower MSRP, a recharge that drops from about 80 to 56 minutes, surge headroom up from 2,700 to 3,600 W, and a cell rated for 4,000 cycles instead of 3,000. At 85% efficiency its 1,024 Wh runs a 60 W fridge for roughly 14.5 hours (1,024 × 0.85 ÷ 60). The only spec that didn't move is the 500 W solar ceiling.
Bottom line
The default pick in the 1 kWh class: newest cell, fastest recharge, lowest MSRP. Buy the DELTA 2 only if a sale inverts the price gap.
